Calistoga Band Camp & SHCB kick off July Fourth Festivities on Fiesta Stage at Napa Fairgrounds

Calistoga Band Camp and SHCB united forces on the Fiesta Stage at Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga to kick off the 4th of July Fair and festivities. Their musical performances were featured along with the delightful dancers that again inspired onlookers. The annual event is sponsored by parks and recreation to encourage youth into arts and cultural programs and activities including music, dance and other artforms.

A good number of Saint Helena Community Band member musicians were volunteer coaches for the various students' instrument choices the full week of Band Camp. SHCB performs with the Band Camp students and then does a concert to encourage the children's further musical training and interest. SHCB principle trombonist Nina Pedersen is the Band Camp founder and facilitator each year at Calistoga High School where she has been Instrumental Music Director for years.
