WELCOME!

Now in its 18th Season, the Saint Helena Community Band (SHCB) proudly provides musical entertainment for the entire Napa Valley and areas beyond. We’d like to encourage you to come out and attend one of our concerts, live and in person! Watch this space and our Facebook page for announcements.

We can also provide entertainment for your next private event — besides the 40-member band itself, we also have a stellar Jazz ensemble that will liven up any event! You may have previously seen them performing at the Harvest Festival or Festa Italiana. Contact them directly to book today!

The Saint Helena Community Band is a group of local musicians who enjoy getting together to make music. The Band is an all-volunteer organization, continuing a 100-year-old Napa Valley tradition. Originally founded in 1921, the band was reestablished in 2007 by Francis Ford Coppola, a generous visionary, who believed life in the Upper Valley would be greatly enhanced by a community band.

Since then, we have grown to over 40 members, and new members join regularly; the only requirement being a desire to play and perform good music. We enjoy sharing our talents throughout the Napa Valley to further our mission: promoting music appreciation and music education in the community.

Under the direction of Dr. Andy Collinsworth, the band performs several concerts throughout the year; both indoors and outdoors, supporting community events and private celebrations.

The band’s repertoire includes a wide variety of music;

    • Big Band Favorites
    • Broadway Show Tunes
    • Classical Selections
    • Marches
    • Movie Themes
    • Pop and Rock Classics
